"It isn't for the moment you are stuck that you need courage, but for the long uphill climb back to sanity and faith and security." -Anne Morrow Lindbergh.

"So, let go
Jump in
Oh well, what you waiting for?
It's all right
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown

"I can elect to change all thoughts that hurt."

A little something that neatly sums up a tumultuous 2004.

A slight modification: "Single! Single! Taken! Single!"

God Jul och Gott Nytt År!

Hej då, Sverige.

With a print run of over 131 million copies, the IKEA catalogue is the most widely distributed commercial and free publication in the world. It is produced in 38 different editions, and in 17 languages for 28 countries. 110 million catalogues were circulated last year-three times higher than that of the Bible.

Every H&M store is restocked with new merchandise daily. The bulk of the restocking is done between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m., so there's almost a science to shopping H&M. Experienced bargain hunters learn that the store displays two of every size at a time. When the mediums are sold out, for example, there will be more the next morning. Employees advise friends to come Tuesday to Friday mornings, within hours of the restocking. Sources report that H&M turns over its entire inventory a whopping eight times a year.

I get happy when I open a pack of Mamba's and one of the three flavors ends up being strawberry. That's my favorite.

I believe that everyone is entitled to one utterly senseless and happy purchase every once in a while.

Mine came in the form of a black houndstooth check print with red trim Fred Perry purse. =]

There's less than one week left here in Lund, and suddenly the endless barrage of anxiety attacks, butterflies, and sleepless nights. How can I already be leaving a place when I feel like I've yet to arrive?

I thought I was prepared, but apparently not. I hate saying goodbyes and I hate even more how I react to goodbyes.

I wish I had my pillows so I could burrow myself in them.

You Are the Peacemaker

9

You are emotionally stable and willing to find common ground with others.

Your friends and family often look to you to be the mediator when there is conflict.

You are easy going and accepting. You take things as they come.

Avoding conflict at all costs, you're content when things are calm.

Hmph.

"There are no little events in life, those we think of no consequence may be full of fate, and it is at our own risk if we neglect the acquaintances and opportunities that seem to be casually offered, and of small importance." -Amelia Barr.

I suppose this is why they're called dreams.

Isn't it odd how only when something is taken away from you, you begin to realize what little importance it had to begin with? Sure, the initial withdrawal period is seemingly very painful and emotional, but once you get past all that, it suddenly "clicks" and makes perfect sense. Does God do this to enable us to become stronger people? Is He teaching us a little lesson to show us to ultimately be solely reliant on Him? Or is this just yet another question left unanswered in life that we'll forever grapple with? I wonder.

However, on a much happier note, though I've stopped publicly acknowledging friends' birthdays, these two people are too extraordinary to be left unmentioned.

HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY, CAROLINA PARK (11/24)! HAPPY 22nd BIRTHDAY, TARYN YU (11/25)!

You guys have both touched my life in ways that I can't ever explain, and I'm so thankful to be blessed with such dear and beautiful friends. Grattis på födelsedagen! =]

Barcelona, Spain is a beautiful city. More specifically, there is not a single drop of rain and only glorious sunlight in BCN. =] I can't believe that the sun can still shine and that trees can remain green in the rest of the world. To celebrate this joyous fact, I ate a McDonald's ice-cream cone every single day while I was in Barcelona. It cost a mere 0,50 Euros. In my world, one would never be compelled to ride a bicycle in 0° to -2°C weather with 25mph winds, one would always, always be able to eat a McDonald's ice-cream cone, and one would instantaneously become an architecture and art history major.

Antoni Gaudí, BCN's brilliant architect and designer, whose influence is seen throughout the city with its mosaic colors, unconventional patterns of texture, and blatant disregard for rigidity and stiffness.

Sagrada Família. "The architect of the future will build imitating Nature, for it is the most rational, long-lasting and economical of all methods... We cannot help but notice the coincidence between a beautiful building and the structure of trees." -Antoni Gaudí.

Park Güell. "The great book, always open and which we should make an effort to read, is that of Nature; the other books are taken from it, and in them there are the mistakes and interpretations of men." -Antoni Gaudí.

Sigh. This needs to stop.
