Okay, so that didn't last long. In fact, it was over the next day.


But these games are starting to wear thin and I just don't know what they mean.


I get as giddy as a junior high-schooler when I talk to the cute, younger guy from my section. I'm hopelessly pathetic.


Thanksgiving's this week and for the first time in my life, I'm not thinking about the dinner itself but just trying my best to stay thankful despite impending finals. I have good moments and bad moments.


On the last day of crim, we had a guest speaker who was incarcerated for the past 25 years for a murder he didn't commit. He's fighting back after teaching himself the law while in prison and his case is pending in front of the USSC. It kinda puts life into perspective...

My fingers and hands have been tingling with pain and in the mornings I can barely squeeze my hands into fists. It doesn't help that my typing is abysmal, so I have to concentrate extra hard to make sure my note-taking makes sense. How sad.


I will never take a 5'9" 남자 for granted again. God has definitely been humbling me in law school.

My poor neglected blog. I thought I'd never see the day where I'd stop writing in this thing, but a better part of the year has gone by since my last entry.

I believe...

... that Brian will get better and the family will be healed.
... that friendships can be mended and that I will have the chance to talk to him again.
... that though I desperately want to be taken care of, I'm already in the hands of the ultimate Provider and Caretaker.
... that God spoke to me yesterday, and for once, I was able to listen.


"I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. I remember the first night we arrived in Phnom Penh, Cambodia and riding in the back of the truck. I remember the bumps, the dust, and animals croaking. I remember singing old school praise songs and gazing up at the thousands and thousands of brightly shining stars, scattered throughout the endlessly black night. I remember the awe and wonder of seeing something so beautiful and grand. And I remember the sudden realization that He alone is greater than even this...

2008

I don't know why, but I'm filled with peace and excitement for this upcoming year. No doubt this year will present its fair share of drama and hardship, but rather than be afraid and overthink everything, I'm going to resolve to allow God to take control by depending on Him more.

Though there's been this funk hovering over me since I returned back to Korea, I'm trusting that there is a reason for this, and that in due time, it will all be revealed. In the meantime, I am so thankful for the time I've spent here and the remaining time I have left here... it is seriously only by the grace of God that I was brought out here to Korea and stripped of my familiarities and comforts to rediscover Him on His terms.

So with that, I eagerly anticipate that this year will be particularly different, and in all that may happen in 2008, I pray that I will continue to be obedient to His calling.
